In the role of VP, Rado will help Nelson Interactive continue its growth in California while overseeing its successful expansion into Austin, Texas, a city making its mark in the computer gaming industry.

Tony Rado is uniquely qualified to lead Nelson Interactive, having 11 years experience in executive management in the discipline of Quality Assurance operations and developer services. Prior to joining Nelson, Rado headed up QA Operations and Developer Services at Sony Online Entertainment. During his time with Sony, he worked with many producers in the creative industry. This location replaces and expands the office space formerly situated in San Jose and will house four Nelson business units: Nelson Technology, Nelson Staffing, Nelson & Associates, and WorkforceLogic. The move resulted from an acceleration of business in the Silicon Valley throughout 2010 and Nelson’s desire to take advantage of new business opportunities in that region.

The team’s 2010 World Series win brought on feelings of such pride and enthusiasm that the company sought a way to share its joy. The solution became an MVP donation to the Junior Giants, the flagship program of the Giants Community Fund.

Junior Giants is a free, non-competitive, innovative baseball program for boys and girls ages 5-18 years old. Begun in 1994, it seeks to give at-risk kids a meaningful partnership with community-based organizations and offers an alternative to drugs, gangs, and crime. They provide all of the uniforms, equipment, and training necessary to run a league as well as tickets to select Giants games so the youth can experience a Major League Baseball game.

As well as the fundamentals of baseball, Junior Giants focuses on the four bases of character development: confidence, integrity, leadership, and teamwork, which are also highly valued qualities at Nelson. Those four qualities are integrated into the Junior Giants handbook, which is distributed to all of the kids and parents.

Mayor Barbose presents a proclamation thanking Gary and Marcia Nelson for their many contributions to the community.

Forty years is quite an accomplishment for any business and is especially noteworthy in a privately owned enterprise in the human capital industry. In addition to this revenue growth, by the end of August, new branch offices will have opened in the UK and in India.
